Organic Carob Flour • Ola Bio • 200gr
2,20 €
Carob Flour is produced from dried roasted carobs and can perfectly replace cocoa powder. It is an ideal choice for those who avoid chocolate, as it is also used in the preparation of sweets. It contains more sugars, but much less fat than cocoa, a characteristic that makes the texture of baked sweets more grainy. In addition, it does not contain caffeine and theobromine, which are contained in chocolate. It is considered a natural sweetener and at the same time a source of B vitamins, as well as minerals such as phosphorus and calcium. In fact, the calcium in carob is twice that of coffee and without the oxalic acid in cocoa, which prevents the absorption of calcium. Finally, it is worth noting that it has only 1/3 of the calories of chocolate and is rich in fiber, as 100g of carob flour contains 40g of fiber!
